Can DABADA™ female internal catheters be disinfected and reused?

Yes. DABADA™ Female Internal Catheters (FEC) are designed for multiple use only. If you try to clean, sterilize, and/or reuse FEC, there may be a risk of infection or disease, so you should wrap it with a membrane to prevent contact with skin.

How many DABADA™ female external catheters do I need?

DABADA™ Female external catheters are used one at a time and should be replaced at least every 8-12 hours if soiled with feces or blood. The amount you need to order depends on your individual usage. For example, if you plan to use the DABADA™ system only at night while sleeping, you'll use one DABADA™ external female catheter per day.

How do I properly insert a DABADA™ female external catheter?

The DABADA™ female external catheter (FEC or wick) is made of tpu material and is surrounded by a tpu membrane. It is placed outside the body and held in place by labia minora and hip muscles. FEC is connected to the urine collection system through a tube. When users urinate, FEC collects urine and is stored in a membrane tube. After 8-12 hours (or if FEC is dirty with feces or blood), throw away FEC and replace it with a new one.
